Dr Manrup Hunjan is a Consultant Dermatologist at skindoc and holds an NHS post as a Consultant Dermatologist.
She is known for her warm and understanding approach, recognising how vital skin health is to overall well-being. Dr Hunjan takes a holistic approach to dermatology appreciating the impact it can have on quality of life.
To become a Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Hunjan first studied medicine at the University of Birmingham and then completed Dermatology Specialist Training in the West Midlands. Her journey to become a Dermatologist took 12 years after completing 5 years at medical school.
She has been awarded a CCT in Dermatology, which means she is one of only about a thousand doctors in the UK to be on the GMC Specialist register for Dermatology.
After completing her medical degree, she completed a research fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in the USA followed by a dermatology training at St John’s Institute of Dermatology and in the West Midlands. During her dermatology training, Dr Hunjan completed a fellowship in Epidermolysis Bullosa at the National centres at Solihull Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, whilst undertaking her Masters in Research.
She has received numerous prizes and published and presented her research nationally and internationally and continues to actively participate in research and frequently mentors and supervises medical students and junior doctors.
